European Hyperloop Week 2025

14.07.2025 > 20.07.2025

Adventure

Experience Veendam, a small town in the province of Groningen, home to the European Hyperloop Center, a cutting-edge hub for Hyperloop development and testing.

Cutting-edge

Discover the latest in Hyperloop infrastructure at one of the world's most advanced full-scale test facilities, enabling real-world validation of future transportation technology.

Precision

At the EHC, advanced engineering meets Dutch efficiency, showcasing the precision needed to make sustainable high-speed transport a reality.

Leading the Way: Academic Excellence and Innovation Collide

The European Hyperloop Center (EHC) in Veendam, nestled in Groningen and established in 2023, is a not-for-profit, public-private innovation hub and test facility accelerating hyperloop development in Europe. Founded by Hardt Hyperloop, the Province of Groningen, the City of Groningen, and backed by EU and government funding, the EHC serves as a cornerstone of the broader Hyperloop Development Program.

The centerpiece: a 420 m long, 2.5 m diameter vacuum tube test track—complete with a full lane‑switch—operates at 100 Pa pressure and supports speeds up to 100 km/h straight and 75 km/h in curves. With 34 prefabricated steel tube sections, the facility is purpose‑built for open testing and validation of critical subsystems like maglev, propulsion, and switching mechanics.

As the host of European Hyperloop Week 2025 (July 14–20), the EHC will welcome 30+ international student teams and 500+ participants to compete, showcase, and dialogue on hyperloop’s future. The facility’s advanced infrastructure makes it the world’s largest student hyperloop competition venue.

Welcome to the European Hyperloop Week 2025 in Veendam!
